Grace Alone Christian Assembly, is
a Non 501c3, Independent Christian fellowship; preaching and teaching the whole council of God, so that the body can be edified
and God may be Glorified.
Our passion and desire is to
share the Gospel message with everyone; it does not matter where you have been, our concern is where you are now and where
you are going to spend eternity.
Today's Memory Verse “For the Father himself loves you,
because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the
world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.” John 16:27, 28
Quote of the Day
“The gospel has not been clearly preached if the
hearer doesn’t know that not to make a decision is a decision.” Dan Arnold
Questions & Objections
“Why are there so many denominations?” In the early 1500s,
a German monk named Martin Luther was so conscious of his sins that he spent up to six hours in the confessional. Through
study of the Scriptures he found that salvation didn’t come through anything he did, but simply through trusting in
the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ. He listed the contradictions between what the Scriptures said and what his
church taught, and nailed his “95 Theses” to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Martin Luther became the first to “protest”
against the Roman church, and thus he became the father of the Protestant church. Since that split, there have been many disagreements
about how much water one should baptize with, how to sing what and why, who should govern who, etc., causing
thousands of splinter groups. Many of these groups are convinced that they are the only ones who are right. These groups have
become known as Protestant “denominations.” Despite the confusion, these churches subscribe to certain foundational
beliefs such as the deity, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “The foundation of God stands
sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his” (2 Timothy 2:19). Cameron, Kirk ; Comfort, Ray: The School of Biblical Evangelism : 101 Lessons : How to Share Your
Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically-- the Way Jesus Did. Gainesville, Fla. : Bridge-Logos Publishers, 2004, S. 612
Point to Ponder “Read and read again, and do not despair of help to understand the will and mind of God though you think
they are fast locked up from you. Neither trouble your heads though you have not commentaries and exposition. Pray and read,
read and pray; for a little from God is better than a great deal from men. Also, what is from men is uncertain, and is often
lost and tumbled over by men; but what is from God is fixed as a nail in a sure place. There is nothing that so abides with
us as what we receive from God; and the reason why the Christians in this day are at such a loss as to some things is that
they are contented with what comes from men’s mouths, without searching and kneeling before God to know
of Him the truth of things.” —John Bunyan
Famous Last Words: William Ceiller,
eminent British physician and medical lecturer, said as he died: “I wish I had the power of writing; I
would describe how pleasant it is to die.”
Day by Day by Grace The Miracle
of Our Ministry For it is the God who commanded light to shine
out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light
of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
(2 Corinthians 4:6) As new covenant servants, we proclaim "the light of the gospel
of the glory of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:4). While holding forth this magnificent message, we earnestly pray that God will prepare darkened hearts to embrace the redeeming
light of His grace. Each person who responds will experience a miracle more distinct than when light first
shined into the darkness of creation. On the first day of creation, the earth was in darkness.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was on the face of the deep" (Genesis 1:1-2). The Lord spoke light into existence in that darkness. "Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and
there was light" (Genesis 1:3). By the word of His mouth, He caused light to shine where there had been none. What a majestic miracle! When Jesus came to this world, light was penetrating darkness. "The people who sat in darkness
saw a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light
has dawned" (Matthew 4:16). When the light of the gospel of grace is proclaimed, it is shining upon spiritually darkened hearts. "Although
they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish
hearts were darkened" (Romans 1:21). When darkened hearts respond to that light, they are given new life. "I am the light of the world. He who follows
Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12). This is what has happened to those of us who follow Christ. The God of creation, who spoke
forth physical light into physical darkness, has spoken forth spiritual light into our spiritual darkness. "For it
is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness who has shone
in our hearts." This light was shining through the gospel. This good news of God's grace painted
a portrait of the Lord Jesus Christ. In that portrait of words, we saw the glory of God and His great salvation. We saw by
faith "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face
of Jesus Christ." Now, we are called to proclaim this gospel of grace, that others also may come
out of darkness into His splendid light. "You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own
special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness
into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). Dear Lord of light, I praise You for bringing me out of darkness into Your gracious light.
Grant me grace to proclaim Your excellencies. Shine Your light into the hearts I hope to reach. Grant them the miracle of
new birth, in Jesus' name, Amen.

American Minute May 19th:
Army Day, Navy Day and Air Force Day were combined in 1949 to be Armed Forces Day, celebrated the 3RD SATURDAY
IN MAY.
Army Day formerly was the date the US entered World War I.
Navy Day
was President Theodore Roosevelt's birthday.
Air Force Day was the day the War Department
established a division of aeronautics.
President Richard Nixon remarked on Armed Forces
Day, MAY 19, 1973, at Norfolk Naval Base: "Men and women who wear the uniform of our country are supposed to salute the
Commander in Chief...but on this day, I, as your Commander in Chief, salute you, each and every American who serves in our
Army, our Navy, our Air Force, our Marine Corps, and our Coast Guard. Your courage, your steadfastness are the backbone of
America's influence for peace around the world...We owe you...a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay...-to the more
than 2 million men and women now serving in uniform; -to the millions of veterans who have returned to civilian life; -to
those missing in action and those magnificent men who 'roughed it out' in enemy prison camps; and above all, -to the memory
of those who gave their lives for their country...We are thankful, too, for the strengths and the sacrifices of America's
military families...We must reject the well-intentioned but misguided suggestions...to slash America's defenses by billions
of dollars. There could be no more certain formula for failure in the negotiations...no more dangerous invitation for other
powers to break the peace...Bluntly: A vote for a weak America is a vote against peace. A vote for a strong America is a vote
for peace...So, support those men and women who have the courage in the Congress to vote for a strong America...The whole
world today is watching to see whether the Star-Spangled Banner still waves...Let us prove that it does...Then we can look
to the future with confidence that Armed Forces Day in the years to come will be...a day of peace for America and for all
the people of the world."
U.S. Army Chaplain, Father William Thomas Cummings, was
among those captured during World War II by the Imperial Japanese at Bataan, Philippines. He died when the prisoner "hell
ship" he was on was hit with a torpedo. Father Cummings had stated in a battlefield sermon: "There are no atheists
in the foxholes."
On Armed Forces Day, May 15, 1995, Secretary of Defense William
Perry said: "In World War II, the United States Armed Forces helped defeat the forces of aggression and oppression on
two sides of the globe...In the Cold War, we faced down the global Soviet threat. Today, our forces stand guard, at home and
abroad, against a range of potential threats..."
Secretary Perry continued: "On
Armed Forces Day, the nation says thank you to our men and women in uniform, their families, and the communities that support
them...Daniel Webster said, 'God grants liberty only to those who love it and are always ready to guard and defend it.'"
Today's Grace Gem Our
good works instantly lose all their value!
( J.R. Miller, "Daily Bible Readings in the Life of Christ" 1890)
"But when
you give to the needy--do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret."
Matthew 6:3-4
There are some people who want every good thing they do, to be well advertised.
If they give money to some good cause--they want to have it noticed in the papers. If they are kind to the poor or relieve
some case of distress--they are particular that the matter should be duly published. They take pains that their charities
shall not fail to be credited to themselves.
But this is not the kind of spirit which our Lord enjoined
on His disciples. He told them that seeking publicity marred the beauty of their charities;
that instead of announcing to others what they had done--they should not even let their own left hand know that their
right hand had been doing commendable things.
Of course, Christ did not mean that we should never give to charities--except
where the act would be absolutely secret. It is the heart-motive that Christ was enforcing.
His disciples should never give for the sake of men's praise. Our good works instantly lose all their value--when
any motive but the honor of God and desire for His approval, is in our heart. We should not even think about our
charities ourselves--but should forget them, as the tree forgets the fruits it drops.
We should
train ourselves therefore to do our good deeds--without seeking the praise or recognition
of men. We should not be so anxious to have our name posted on every gift we send. We ought to be willing to do good, and
let Christ have all the glory--while we stay back unknown and unrecognized.
Florence Nightingale
, having gone like an angel of mercy among the hospitals in the Crimea until her name was enshrined
in every soldier's heart--asked to be excused from having her picture taken--that she might be forgotten, and that
Christ alone might be remembered as the author of all the blessings which her hand had distributed!
